Design Review Guidelines

On behalf of the Design Review Committee (DRC), we would like to welcome you to our beautiful community. Sincuidados is designed with preserving the natural Sonoran Desert in mind. Our job is to ensure that all new homes and renovations to existing homes maintain that philosophy.  Please review the latest Design Guidelines document so that you are familiar with the DRC rules.

We require homeowners to obtain written approval from the Design Review Committee before making any changes on a lot or to a home’s exterior.

Sincuidados is a unique community. Large amounts of natural, preserved Sonoran Desert surround our homes. Our rules require homeowners to retain as much of the untouched desert landscape as possible and to create a living environment free of noise, visual and light pollution.

The Sincuidados Homeowners Association Board of Directors appoints DRC member volunteers, who are responsible for reviewing all landscape and exterior architectural requests. It is important that you submit a request to the DRC for approval before making changes such as:

  • painting
  • replacing windows or doors
  • landscaping
  • adding granite or rip-rap
  • installing solar panels or satellite dishes
  • or making any exterior modifications to your house, driveway or landscape

If you would like, a DRC member can stop by to clarify any questions you may have about the Design Guidelines.

Other Design Review Info

All building and site design development in Sincuidados should follow our design guidelines. Our community’s original developers established the Design Review Committee (DRC) to oversee the process for approving all building and site design. Both the design guidelines and the DRC’s authority are in our Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs).
